Since Malvern entered the Inter-Ac in1950 they have had seven teams in 75 years that finished their season without a loss. Recently, on consecutive weekends, the Malvern community and the football program celebrated the anniversaries of the 1975 Friars (50 years) and the 1995 Friars (30 years). The 1975 Team was coached by Jack “Shark” McGuinn and Captained by Michael Ameche, Steve Donnelly, Jim DellaFranco and Rich Devine. The team was led by all Inter-Ac players Michael Ameche, Joe Campagna, Steve Donnelly, Sonny Michaliszyn, Phil Lynch, John O’Sullivan, Rich Devine and Steve Scheuerle. The 1995 team was coached by Gaspare “Gamp” Pelligrini. This team was Co-Captained by Toby Booker and Steve Galczenski. All Inter-Ac performers included Toby and Gal, who were co-league MVPS in 1995, John Heavens, Brooks McDonald, Dave O’Brien, Joe Nangle, Doug Borgenson, Derrick Downs, and Mike Pinto. These two teams combined for a 19-0-1 record and two Inter-Ac titles. Two of Malvern’s best. Congratulations to both teams.
